Description
Set 16. Woodland Stores, owned by Alfred Woodland, grocer, draper, wine, spirit and beer merchant and post office. It was situated in the High Street, just north of the New Inn (now The Neptune). The photograph shows members of staff standing outside and a heavily laden horse and cart to the right. Alfred’s butcher’s shop is to the left.
